Conveniently located near Billericay and Chelmsford and just a short train journey from London, the stunning Grade II listed hotel is home to a host of beautiful original features each with a story to tell about the building’s steep history. The beautifully designed gardens look especially magical at will ensure you feel totally relaxed. Greenwoods Hotel has 39 beautifully appointed bedrooms including 6 premier rooms. Choose to stay overnight and enjoy use of our 20m lap indoor pool, jacuzzi, steam room, available to book during your stay. Bedrooms Greenwoods Hotel boasts 39 beautifully designed bedrooms including 6 premier bedrooms with jacuzzi baths. For anyone attending a Christmas function at Greenwoods Hotel we offer the following discounted bedroom rates:

Sunday to Friday £129 single standard room / £169 single premier room £159 double standard room / £199 double premier room

Saturday £159 single standard room / £199 single premier room £199 double standard room / £239 double premier room Rates are on a bed and breakfast basis. An extensive breakfast is provided in Ellis’s Restaurant. VAT is included. All bedrooms must be paid for in full at the time of booking. Check in is from 2pm on the day of arrival and check out is 11am the following day. Please note that specific room numbers are not guaranteed. Dressing gowns, slippers and towels are provided although please note that gowns must not be worn in the public areas of the hotel. If you wish to use the gym facilities you will require suitable clothing/footwear, personal headphones can also be used with the equipment. You will also require swimwear for use in the pool. On check in, you will receive your schedule of any pre-booked treatments. All treatments must be paid for on booking. It is advisable to pre-book treatments to avoid disappointment on the day. Please note that treatment times are subject to change without notice, although every attempt is made to ensure your schedule remains the same. All medical treatments must be disclosed to avoid the cancellation of your treatments.

Terms & Conditions All prices are inclusive of VAT. Christmas packages are not available in conjunction with any other offers. A £10 per person non-refundable deposit is required on booking. The full remaining balance is due 45 days prior to the date of your booking. Once numbers are confirmed (no later than 45 days before the function) they cannot be decreased and any non-arrivals will not be refunded or transferred. We recommend that you consider event insurance to cover you for any cancellation. For all Christmas fayre and party night bookings, menu pre-orders must be placed no later than 20th November. If pre-orders are not received, our standard menu choices will apply. Any behaviour deemed unsuitable will result in guests being removed from the premises with no refunds. Any damage caused to Greenwoods Hotel will be chargeable to those responsible. Christmas party nights and the New Year’s Eve ball are not available to anyone under the age of 18. Our tables normally seat 10 guests each. If you are a group with less than 10 people, you may be added to a table with other guests. If a minimum number of 50 cannot be achieved for any Christmas party night, Greenwoods Hotel will, in the first instance, offer alternative dates if available. In the event that no suitable alternative can be agreed upon, we will offer a refund of all monies paid. This applies solely at Greenwoods Hotel’s discretion and only to dates cancelled by the hotel.

Dress Code

The dress code for Christmas fayre lunches, party nights and Christmas day lunch is smart casual. The dress policy for New Year’s Eve is black tie and evening wear.

Dietary Requirements

We require written notice of any special dietary requirements, including vegetarian, vegan preferences and food allergies. Please provide this information with your pre-orders where applicable or a minimum of 7 days prior to events that do not require a pre-order. If we do not receive this information, any requests cannot be guaranteed. Some of our dishes may contain allergens including gluten, nuts, eggs, milk, shellfish, soya, cereal, mustard, sulphites, sesame and lupin, so please advise us of any allergies. The type of fish used in our dishes could be subject to change due to seasonal availability.
