Official Rules for Devon Delivers Photograph Competition

1. The competition is open to all businesses and individuals (hereafter called “entrants”) except Devon County Council employees and anyone directly connected with the organisation, implementation or administration of the competition. 2. Entry to the competition is via the Devon Delivers competition Facebook page. 3. Entrants are responsible for ensuring all relevant permissions are sought before submitting an entry, including people, places and businesses represented in images. 4. Each entrant warrants that it owns the photograph(s) submitted in its entry and that submission of the photograph(s) and their use by Devon County Council will not breach any copyright or other intellectual property rights of any third parties. Each entrant agrees to indemnify Devon County Council for any direct losses, damages and expenses suffered or incurred by Devon County Council as a result of the entrant’s breach of this warranty. 5. Each entrant can submit up to a maximum of five photographs. Any submissions that are not accompanied by a company / individual’s name and contact email address will be deemed ineligible and be removed from the Devon Delivers Facebook page and the competition. 6. Entrants must be 16 years old or above. 7. By submitting a photograph, entrants give Devon County Council the right to publish the photograph on its website or in any related media/via social media or by other reasonable avenues to promote Devon as a great place to work. 8. By submitting a photograph, entrants give Devon County Council the right to publicise the photograph through standard media channels and to share the name of the entrant. 9. The winning photographs will be attributed to the person/company who has submitted the image, and will be published and publicised by Devon County Council through media, including social media. 10. Entries that are offensive, defamatory or abusive, or are otherwise inappropriate will not be published or will be removed by moderators. Devon County Council’s decision on this is final. 11. The closing date for entries will be publicised on the Devon Delivers Facebook page and no entries received after that time will be considered. 12. All entrants must supply their company or individual name when posting their photograph. Subject to sections 8 and 9 above and section 17 below, Devon County Council will only use personal or company details for the purposes of administering this competition. 13. Entries will be available for general viewing at the Devon Delivers Facebook

 

page. Third parties will then be asked to vote for their favourite image and the photos that receive the most votes will be publicised by Devon County Council. 14. The winning photo will be the one that receives the most “likes” on the Devon Delivers facebook page. 15. The entrant who submits the winning photo will receive two tickets to see a production at the Theatre Royal Plymouth. These tickets can be used for any performance between Monday to Thursday, subject to availability. 16. Devon County Council will not enter into any correspondence relating to this competition. Entrants acknowledge that this competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by or associated with Facebook. 17. Participation in the competition constitutes winners' permission to use their name, address town/city, likeness, and any statements made by winners regarding the competition for promotional purposes without notice or additional compensation. 18. By participating, all entrants and winners agree to release and hold harmless Devon County Council and Facebook from any and all liability, for loss, harm, damage, injury, cost or expense whatsoever which they may incur in connection with the prize draw. 19. Entrants who do not comply with these Official Rules or attempt to interfere with this promotion in any way shall be disqualified. 20. Devon County Council reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend this competition should causes beyond its reasonable control affect the administration, security, fairness or proper conduct of the prize draw. Devon County Council also reserves the right, at its sole discretion, to disqualify any entrant it finds or reasonably believes to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the competition or associated outputs.
