Industrial Galvanizers (Tasmania)

The team at Industrial Galvanizers (Tasmania) has worked hard to improve customer service and our manufacturing processes. Selection as finalists in these Awards recognizes the progress we’ve made. Our business is growing; we provide job opportunities for local people, and deliver a Statewide service. The success we’ve had is by giving customers what they want : a local corrosion protection option; good delivery performance and a stock of popular fabricated items.

Following initial judging and a round of interviews, Industrial Galvanizers (Tasmania) has been named as a finalist for: Excellence in Manufacturing;  Excellence in Customer Service. The Awards are sponsored by the Launceston Chamber of Commerce, and recognise successful businesses and organisations in Northern Tasmania. They also highlight the economic, employment and social contribution that businesses and organisations make to the region. “We are very excited to be selected as a finalist in these two categories,” said Aaron Harland (Operations Manager - Tasmania). “Our team has worked very hard over the past three years to improve our customer service and processes. This is recognition of the progress we have made,” he added. Industrial Galvanizers (Tasmania) provides corrosion protection to steel fabrications and components by hot-dip galvanizing. They also stock and supply galvanized handrail, grating and fabricate made-to-measure access systems. The business has adopted many of the LEAN Tools used in Competitive Manufacturing, including Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control and used them to measure and improve customer delivery, turnaround, process variables and product quality. It is now planning implementation of further productivity improvements, due to an increased workload. The winning finalists will be announced at the Awards Gala Dinner to be held at the Hotel Grand Chancellor, Launceston on Saturday 31 October 2015.
