Even if you are going for a short hike, there is always a small possibility you could break a limb, cut yourself or get bi en by insects or snakes, so you need to be prepared for the worst. Most first aid kits are compact and contain all the essen al items you’ll need.

Compact first aid manual

Soluble pain relievers

Pressure immobilisa on bandages

Electrolyte replacement

Compression bandages

An histamine

Snake Bite bandage

Insect repellent

Regular roller bandages

Salt, for leeches

Triangular bandage for breaks

Matches and Flint

Gauze or co on pads for wounds

Personal medica on, with instruc ons

Assorted bandaids for blisters and cuts

Tweezers and splinter needles

Moleskin and/or blister kit

Small scissors or nail clippers

Trekkers Wool, for hotspot and blister preven on

Ointment for insect bites
