THE GAFFER...

DARREN SARLL Darren Sarll took over from Teddy Sheringham as caretaker manager in February 2016. The gaffer took charge full-time after guiding Boro to a comfortable 18th placed finish. Sarll hung up his semi-professional boots in 2006, taking up a coaching role with Stevenage in 2007. He guided the youth team to the final of the Colwyn Cup, before being appointed Brentford’s youth team manager at the beginning of the 2008/09 season. He then had a spell as coach at Rotherham, before returning to Stevenage in June 2012 to take up the Head of Youth Role. Sarll has been in full-time charge ever since May 2016, with the guidance of managerial advisor Glen Roeder. 4

Which stand? The four stands at The Lamex Stadium are all very unique, so we thought we’d give you an idea of the different options available...

East Terrace • Terrace standing • Best atmosphere • Capacity 2,500

The best atmosphere at The Lamex Stadium comes from our East Terrace, which is a standing-only stand. Our most vocal fans who lead the singing, dancing and banging on the drums are housed in the centre of this, but standing anywhere on the terrace guarantees a unique experience.

11

North Terrace • Terrace standing • Close to the action and family feel • Home to our wheelchair enclosure • Capacity 600

2

Located behind the goal, the North Terrace is currently our smallest stand, but with plans to build a brand new stand before the end of the 2017/18 season. The new North Stand will offer a brilliant end-to-end view of the pitch. Boro tend to shoot at this end during the second half, providing many dramatic moments over the course of the last few seasons.

West stand • All-seated stand • Allocated stand • Home to our Family Area and Community Zone • Nice and relaxed atmosphere

Our West Stand is an all-seater stand which holds 2,000 fans, as well as housing our hospitality boxes, press areas and of course the tunnel leading to the changing rooms. Close to the main turnstiles, toilets and a tea bar, these seats offer a great view and are perfect to bring your youngsters along for the first time. 13

south stand • All-seated stand • Allocated to visiting away fans • Fans here will cheer the opposition on whilst sharing friendly banter with the East Terrace.

Our 1,500 capacity South Stand is the newest stand at the stadium and is allocated to visiting away fans. With the opposition usually kicking towards this end in the second half, it creates a great atmosphere between the two sets of fans. 14
