ST EDMUNDSBURY CATHEDRAL, in the heart of the market town of Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk, is celebrating the centenary of the creation of the Diocese of St Edmundsbury and Ipswich in 1914 with a major Flower Festival in July 2014. ‘Reflections’ will transform the Cathedral with over 80 floral displays, depicting key themes from the last 100 years. Visitors will be able to enjoy the displays, refreshments and shopping whilst taking in some of the architectural achievements which have turned St Edmundsbury Cathedral from a simple parish church into the magnificent Cathedral it is today. The Festival’s designers are the leading floral artists Lee Berrill and Alan Smith whose designs will capture the Christian and secular heritage of the region.
