OFFENSE Chris Warren III, RB • Got the first start of his career in today’s contest. He tallied 276 yards rushing for the most by a freshman in program history. His 276 yards also rank sixth all-time for Texas. • The previous record for rushing yards by a freshman was 213 by Cedric Benson on 28 attempts against Kansas in 2001. • Warren broke a 91-yard touchdown run in the second quarter. It was his first career touchdown and ranks as the fourth-longest rush in program history and the longest by a freshman. Tyrone Swoopes, QB • Completed 9-of-18 passes for 52 yards. • Ran for 98 yards and 2 TDs on 15 carries. • Posted his 3rd game with multiple rushing TDs. • Brings season total to 11 rushing TDs. DEFENSE Dylan Haines, S • Pulled in his fifth INT of the season on Texas Tech’s first drive of the game. He returned it for 16 yards, bringing his career total of INT return yards to 200. That ranks second in school history and is 61 yards behind the record held by Chris Carter.
