ORE SENTENCED FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT AT LOUDOUN RESTAURANT JUDGE IMPOSES FIFTY-FOUR YEARS LEESBURG, Virginia – January 31, 2017. Luis Fernando Ore, 21, appeared before Judge Jeanette A. Irby in Loudoun County Circuit Court and plead guilty to one count of abduction with the intent to defile and two counts of aggravated sexual battery. Irby imposed a sentence of life in prison with all but fifty-four years suspended. On November 13, 2016, Loudoun County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the Elevation Burger restaurant in Ashburn for a report of a sexual assault. Ore was placed under arrest by law enforcement for the sexual assault of a juvenile at the restaurant. “While Mr. Ore could have been exposed to a mandatory life sentence if convicted at trial, the notion of these two young girls, ages 7 and 8, having to relive this horror in a public courtroom was a compelling reason to make this agreement," said Commonwealth's Attorney Jim Plowman. "Further assurances were put into the plea that will likely see Mr. Ore the subject of a civil commitment to a secure facility for sexually violent predators, thus ensuring the public's safety after his prison term." Upon his release, Ore will be placed on supervised probation for the remainder of his life, he is prohibited from any contact with the victim, any unsupervised contact with minors, and he will be evaluated for civil commitment as a sexually violent predator. Ore further agreed, that he will not contest any sexually violent predator designation that may be imposed after an evaluation. Ore is a registered sex offender and has been previously convicted of two counts of aggravated sexual battery and two counts of abduction with intent to defile. Those convictions occurred in July 19, 2012. Pursuant to Virginia’s Sex Offender and Crimes Against Minors Registry Act, Ore will continue to register as a sex offender.
