It is the gateway to world class fishing, hunting, wildlife viewing, and outdoor adventure. The Kenai Peninsula is a culturally rich and diverse area with over 52,304 residents. The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District has a long tradition of excellence and community support for education.

Salary and Benefits The salary will be in the range of $140,000 to $165,000, plus an excellent and comprehensive benefits package. The final salary for the successful candidate will be negotiated and determined based upon proven experience, qualifications and meeting the school board’s criteria. The Kenai Peninsula Borough School District is one of the top performing districts in the state of Alaska encompassing 21 communities within 25,600 square miles and serves nearly 9,000 students. Forty-Four school programs offer public education in pre-kindergarten through grade 12 including four charter schools and a home school program. Four of the district's schools are accessible only by water or air; one by hiking or all-terrain vehicle. Each school day, more than 2,700 students are transported a total of 7,200 miles on school buses throughout the District.
