Come and learn how to create beautiful Hawaiian wili style lei. Registration will be on a first come first served basis, and space is limited. You must be a registered participant in order to take part in the class, and registration must be completed in advance (April 20, 2018 deadline). A supply list will be handed out upon completion of registration. Please bring your own supplies, as no other supplies will be provided.

OTHER INFORMATION Learn to make wili style and ti leaf lei. Bring flowers with three-inch stems; greenery, such as fern and ti leaf; raffia; scissors or snippers; button-and-carpet thread; spray bottle with water; and aluminum pan.

Learn the basics of wili lei making in celebration of the City's Lei Contest on May 1 at Kapi‘olani Park. Please bring greenery, flowers, and supplies to supplement your lei and share with other attendees. REGISTRATION: This is a free class and space is limited. You must call 293-5116 or email [email protected] in advance to Teens and Adults register for this class.

This is a lei jam session (not a lesson) for participants to make a lei to enter the Lei Contest at Kapi‘olani Park, May 1, 2018. Bring flowers with three-inch stems; greenery, such as fern and ti leaf; raffia; scissors or snippers; buttonand-carpet thread; spray bottle with water; and aluminum pan. Entries must be submitted on May 1, 2018, between 7:30 – 9 a.m. Entries will not be returned. Presentation of contest lei will be made at Mauna ‘Ala, The Royal Mausoleum, on May 2, 2018, at 9 a.m.

Hands-on session for students to make a full lei to enter in the City’s Lei Contest or to wear on Lei Day. This session will not include a formal demonstration, but assistance will be available. All ages. Participants must register for the Children 17 years class at the posted registration and younger must periods.
