What is HeForShe Arts Week? Perfectly timed with International Women’s Day, UN Women’s HeForShe Arts Week is celebrated annually and globally for one week starting on March 8th — 15th. The inaugural HeForShe Arts Week was launched in 2016, in partnership with the Public Theater and the City of New York, home to the UN Women global headquarters. During this exciting week of awareness and action, partner institutions — ballets, operas, Broadway shows, music concerts, theaters, galleries, and museums — raise awareness of gender equality to an all-timehigh and donate a percentage of proceeds to UN Women's work in creating a gender-equal world. HeForShe Arts Week is going global in 2017 with launches in: NYC, London, Paris, Madrid, Bangkok, Santiago De Chile, São Paulo and Panama City. See city specific programs below.
