A leading contemporary art gallery in the process of significant expansion seeks to appoint new member of staff to run the gallery’s front of house in both the real and virtual worlds. • • • • • • • •

Providing the first point of contact for any visitors to the gallery, either in person, by email, or on the telephone. Overseeing the gallery presence and profile across all social media platforms. Responsible for maintaining the gallery website including regular updating of exhibition and news pages. Overseeing gallery presence on all digital platforms such as Artsy and artnet. Managing the gallery archive, in both digital and physical form. Assisting with general and sales enquiries, as directed by the gallery directors and gallery manager. Maintaining and preparing data for mailing of exhibition notices, both physical and digital. Updating mailing lists and client database as required. Assisting at exhibition openings and at art fairs as required. An ability to undertake international travel should be unhindered.

The successful applicant will have proven experience in an office environment with excellent time management and communication skills. They will be fully knowledgeable of Apple Macintosh computer systems and have a good working knowledge of web-based applications. Experience with Adobe suite, especially Photoshop would be desirable. They will be fully literate across a wide variety of social media platforms. Foreign language skills would be an advantage. Most importantly the candidate will demonstrate willingness to work as part of a small team in a friendly and professional manner and with an understanding of the flexibility that this demands.
