Position Summary The Foundation for Educational Exchange between Canada and the United States of America is looking to hire an energetic, self-starting individual to manage the outreach file, provide leadership and support to Fulbright and Killam alumni, and take charge of our active and varied international recruitment efforts. The successful candidate will have exceptional presentation and writing skills, a strong outgoing personality, and an ability to work with individuals at all levels and from all walks of life. The successful candidate will be comfortable working in a highly interactive and dynamic multi-purpose environment. They will be competent, and creative in all areas of partnership building, including all aspects of social networking and relationship building. Primary Responsibilities Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:  managing the Foundation’s strategy for the recruitment of students and scholars;  taking responsibility for the production of print materials, social networking activities, videos, and other promotional opportunities associated with recruitment;  managing the Foundation’s alumni programs and activities;  liaising with grantees and alumni on all matters relating to outreach, press coverage, promotion, community involvement;  liaising with the US Embassy, the State Department, the Government of Canada, and other partners on matters relating to alumni relations;  acting as the Foundation’s representative on the Advisory Committee on Alumni Activities;  developing and managing new opportunities for alumni and partners;  working with colleagues at the Foundation on all matters relating to communications, orientation, and other program enhancements; and  supporting the CEO on new initiatives designed to promote the Fulbright Canada mission.

Qualifications  The ideal candidate will have a mix of education, training, and experience in areas relating to social networking, alumni relations, and educational administration. Excellent writing, presentation, communications and interpersonal skills are a must. Working knowledge of appropriate software applications in the areas of productivity, blogging, social networking, and web interface is also required. An undergraduate degree from an accredited university is required. A graduate degree is preferred. Graduates of US institutions and/or individuals with a direct knowledge of the US post-secondary education system are strongly encouraged to apply. The ability to operate in both of Canada’s official languages is a not a requirement of the position; however, it is highly desirable. is an open-minded, productive, results-oriented, team player; is highly inquisitive, curious, and skilled at creatively dealing with new challenges; is a collaborative and structured problem solver and storyteller; is able to manage multiple projects concurrently and, where necessary, independently;  is comfortable with and competent in the use of social networking platforms, blogging tools, the Adobe Creative suite, is comfortable creating and managing databases and the use of database software such as Act Database, and the MS Office suite of products;  exemplifies the core values of the Fulbright program; and  is flexible and optimistic. Education and Professional Experience    

Bachelor’s degree required, Masters degree preferred Experience working in a complex, multi--‐dimensional setting is preferred Experience working in an international organization and/or setting is preferred Experience in a social networking environment and/or journalism would be an asset
