Blended finance uses catalytic capital from public or philanthropic sources to increase private sector investment for global development impact. Convergence intends to play an important role in driving investment towards closing the estimated $2.5 trillion annual gap in funding for the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). POSITION DESCRIPTION Convergence is currently seeking a full-time full stack developer to lead the development and maintenance of the investment network platform. This role is a unique opportunity to help grow an innovative fintech start-up in the development finance space. As a member of the Investment Network team, the full stack developer will be critical in building a world-class matchmaking platform and ensuring seamless user experience, with strong growth opportunities within the organization. In addition, the full stack developer will support the Market Building Tools and Design Funding teams with broader website needs as required. Attributes of Convergence’s front end and back end platform include: • Custom PHP software application using Symfony 2 framework • Responsive front end built using Bootstrap framework • User interface files written with twig template engine • API integration with CrowdValley for back end database and user management • API integration with Contentful for content management
RESPONSIBILITIES The following comprises the core responsibilities of the full stack developer; however, the scope will evolve over time to match the needs of a growing start-up. • Create, develop and maintain the front end and match requirements with business/product development • Build new platform functionality for the Investment Network, as well for the broader Convergence team • Analyze and design responsive UI and UX interactions to ensure high level of platform engagement • Ensure platform is consistent across all browsers and platforms • Ensure seamless front end integration with back end, assisting and troubleshooting with back end provider as needed • Contribute to broader strategic discussions across different teams to ensure front end requirements and limitations are part of strategic planning • Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines • Maintain graphic standards and branding throughout the platform • Write functional requirement documents and specifications as needed • Stay up-to-date on relevant fintech industry trends 1

Minimum of 3+ years work experience in front end development with HTML, CSS, and JQuery Minimum of 2+ years work experience with PHP (preferably Symfony 2 or 3) Experience with and vast domain knowledge in JavaScript including modern frameworks, libraries and best practices Prior experience with source control tools Understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development and deployment Experience in backend database management and API integrations Experience with responsive and adaptive design, specifically Bootstrap framework Creative and strategic thinker who enjoys brainstorming new opportunities with co-workers and partners Strong project management skills and a track record of on-time delivery Comfortable in an entrepreneurial environment that is fast-paced and fluid; able to embrace ambiguity and is a self-starter Proven interpersonal skills, including communication and relationship-building Interest in fintech and development finance
