Fundraising Committee Vacancy Opportunities Special Olympics is a global movement of people creating a new world of inclusion and community, where every single person is accepted and welcomed, regardless of ability or disability. Please visit for more informed detail: http://specialolympicsgb.org.uk/ Special Olympics Gloucestershire (SO Glos) is a new network set up to coordinate local sports provision for individuals of all ages with a learning disability under the Special Olympics banner and guidance of Special Olympics Great Britain. This provision will feed into the regional, national and international Special Olympics Competition Pathway enabling our athletes to help achieve their goals in competitive sport but to also improve health, fitness and social skills and give them a focus in life. SO Glos is setting up a fundraising group, which will work alongside the committee. Their role will be to support ensure:   

We are looking for a team of dedicated voluntary fundraisers to make up this group. It is a crucial role within SO Glos and will enable sporting opportunities for those with a learning disability for years to come. We welcome individuals with a background in fundraising, sponsorship or income generation, or anyone with a passion and drive to raise funds to help people with learning disability become more active. The fundraising group, led by Rowland Clark, Head of Health and Inclusion at Active Gloucestershire, will create a strategy. This will include applying for grants, assisting organising events and acquiring sponsorship.
