Fundraising for Social Impact The Center for Leadership Development FPWA is excited to announce Fundraising for Social Impact, a three-month training program for nonprofit leaders. Fundraising professionals will explore traditional and nontraditional fundraising strategies, and learn to think strategically about ways to expand resources for their organizations. Participants will work towards creating and implementing a fundraising plan that is guided by social justice values and incorporates a vision for long-term social change. All participants will receive one hour of individual coaching at no additional cost.

Program Schedule:

Orientation & Introduction May 4, 2017 9:30 AM - 11:00 AM Cohort orientation, including expectations and challenges; introduction to fundraising plans.

Program Eligibility:  Two years or less of experience  Annual budgets less than five million  501C3 status (no fiscal conduits)  Completed application with supervisor approval  Expected to attend all sessions

Program Costs:  $150 (CLD Alumni)  $200 (FPWA Members)  $250 (Non-members)  Partial scholarships available

About CLD The Center for Leadership Development (CLD) aims to build the capacity of community and faith-based organizations by strengthening leadership skills, organizational and program management, and civic engagement. Trainings and technical assistance are provided to nonprofits to develop skilled and talented staff, and increase their overall ability to effectively impact the growing and changing needs of the communities they serve. The CLD is funded in part by Altman Foundation, American Express, Clark Foundation, TD Charitable Foundation, and FPWA Membership Dues.

Digital Fundraising June 14, 2017 9:30 AM - 12:00 PM Use growing technology options and web-based approaches to maximize individual donors and expand your organization’s visibility.

Funders as Partners in Social Change June 22, 2017 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Develop stronger relationships with funders and promote innovative ideas; focus on foundations, donor collaborative and giving circles.

Fundraising Lab July 11, 2017 9:30 AM - 12:30 PM Workshop your fundraising plans with facilitators and cohort participants.
