The whole gallery thing plays out a little differently at Gateway Film Center. We take the best parts of a traditional art gallery and add a dash of film nerd flavor. Because we love everything indie -- from movies to makers -- we treat our artists like kings and queens by paying them $1,000 up front to help them make the show of their wildest movie-themed dreams.

NOTE: If an artist would like to show previously created artwork, a brief exhibition history should be provided for each piece. Preference will be given to new work and work not yet exhibited in Columbus.

We also break the standard gallery profit-lock by giving the artist 75% of the proceeds from the sale of their work. GFC allocates 25% of sales to make baller promotional materials including a bite-size video spot with the artist that runs before each movie while the exhibition is up. That’s how the film center does Gallery.

All materials should be submitted in a zip file emailed to [email protected] with the title “Gallery at Gateway Film Center Artist Submission.” Due to the large amount of applications we receive, incomplete applications will not be submitted for review.
