Israeli Life Sciences Roadshow: 06-14 April 2016 Taipei | Xiamen | Guangzhou | Hong Kong Deadline to Apply: February 18th, 2016

General Information & Guidelines Description of Roadshow: This roadshow follows previous successful delegations to China in the life sciences, clean-tech, and ICT fields. The heavily subsidized roadshow will take 10-15 Israeli companies to four prominent cities – Taipei*, Xiamen, Guangzhou and Hong Kong SAR* - for B2B meetings, ceremonies, presentation sessions and networking events. Check out funding opportunities now available for R&D collaborations with companies from Hong Kong SAR (*NEW!), Taiwan (*NEW!) and Guangdong! The roadshow is organized by OCS & MATIMOP together with the China Science and Technology Exchange Center (CSTEC), The Xiamen Science and Technology Department, the Department of Science and Technology of Guangdong Province, the Guangdong S&T Exchange Center, The Industrial technology research Institute (ITRI), the Israeli Economic and Cultural Office in Taipei, the Hong Kong Innovation and Technology Commission, Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation and the Israeli Economic & Trade Mission to South China and Hong Kong. Expenses: Company representatives are responsible ONLY for the costs of flights (both international & between locations). The organizers will cover all expenses associated with hotel accommodations, food, events, etc. Company representatives are required to make a $1000 deposit. Applicants who cancel their participation after March 17th, 2016 will not receive reimbursement. Criteria: Israeli companies must meet the below criteria in order participate in the roadshow: 

The company should be focused on Life Science sector – Pharmaceuticals, Agro-Biotech, Medical Devices, Diagnostics, Therapeutics, Health IT, etc.



The company has a product/ technology/ industrial process that is in the stage of initializing a R&D program/ R&D phase / beta phase



The product/ technology/ industrial process has to be based on a technological innovation and/or applicative innovation

The product/ technology/ industrial process must have strong technological feasibility and market potential



The company needs to have the willingness and the ability to cooperate with companies from the mentioned locations both on R&D and business alliances

How to Apply: Interested candidates should apply on the MATIMOP website by Thursday February 18th, 2016. Applications will be reviewed by a selection committee and accepted applicants* will be notified on a rolling basis, and no later than early March 2016. *Please note, only highly qualified applicants will be accepted and only up to 15 Israeli companies, with only one representative per company, are eligible to participate. Wednesday, April 6th: The delegation will have a flight from Israel to Taipei (recommended flight: Turkish Airlines TK787 / EL AL Israel Airlines LY75) Thursday, April 7th: Overnight in Taipei. Friday, April 8th: Opening ceremony and B2B meetings in Taipei. Overnight in Taipei. Saturday, April 9th: Weekend in Taipei, evening flight to Xiamen (Fujian Province). (Recommended flight: TBC). Overnight in Xiamen Sunday, April 10th: Xiamen. Overnight in Xiamen Monday, April 11th: Opening ceremony and B2B meetings in Xiamen. Flight to Guangzhou (recommended flight: TBC). Overnight in Guangzhou (Guangdong Province) Tuesday, April 12th: Opening ceremony and B2B meetings in Guangzhou Transfer by Car to Hong Kong. Overnight in HK Wednesday, April 13th: Opening ceremony and B2B meetings in Hong Kong Thursday, April 15th: Return flight to Israel (Recommended Flight: El Al Airlines LY78)

B2B Opportunities and Exhibition: The visiting Israeli delegation will participate in a dedicated pre-scheduled B2B event in each city. The events will include an opening ceremony, B2B meetings, and an exhibition hall featuring a display for each company. Each company will have their profile featured in the Israeli Company Roadshow Catalog, which will be translated into Chinese and distributed widely to Chinese companies invited to participate in B2B meetings. For these purposes, Israeli companies will be asked to provide company profile and poster material, all of which will be translated into Chinese and produced by the organizers. B2B meetings will be pre-scheduled in coordination with each company, and on-the-spot meetings can also be held. Translators will be available for B2B meetings.
