George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum 2017 Summer Camp Application June 21-23, 2017 “Camp 43: Leader of One, Leader of Many” Join the staff of the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum for our annual summer “Camp 43!” Focusing on the importance of leadership and the decision-making process, you will discover how values and personal beliefs affect your decisions, develop skills for working in diverse groups, and hear first-hand from public and private figures about the process they use to make decisions. The experience is based primarily in group activities, discussion, and presentations from community leaders. Lunch and snacks provided daily with a formal dinner on June 23rd to conclude the camp.

Day 1: June 21 - Leader of Self, 9:00-4:00 Day 2: June 22 - Leader of Others, 9:00-4:00 Day 3: June 23 - Leader for the Future, 10:30-7:00 Participants: Twenty-five high school students who will graduate in 2017, 2018 or 2019 How to Apply: Submit this form with your answers to the short essay prompts, two professional Letters of Recommendation, and a resume to the address or email below. Application Deadline: Close of business April 14, 2017 Participants will receive notification of acceptance or placement on a wait list and information about camp logistics via e-mail no later than May 19, 2017.

Notes: There is no cost for the camp. All participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from the George W. Bush Presidential Library and Museum each day and may be photographed or videotaped during the course of the camp. By submitting your application, you agree to these terms.
