Getting Started Guide: iOS Note: This is a quick start guide that covers the most basic user functionality. Full user documentation for iOS is available on our website.

Users will need the following: 1) Credentials sent from CartoPac 2) CartoPac App – available from App Store link:

Step 1: Connect iOS Device to CartoPac Core Server CartoPac Server Instance URL: https://app-1324.c2.cartopac.com/cartopac username: [email protected] password: dd0007af

Step 2: Download Project from Server to Device Tap ‘Download Projects’ from the ‘Options’ menu and select the specified project from the project list. Finalize the selection by tapping the ‘download’ button.

Step 3: Overview of Mobile UI 1) Turn GPS On by tapping the GPS icon

2) Maps should start appearing After the GPS is enabled on initial download, users will need to zoom into a smaller map extent by tapping the ‘+’ button on the map display, or using pinch zoom capability.

Step 4 – Collect Data 1) Enable GPS  To maximize your field data collection experience we suggest disabling the WiFi prior to enabling GPS so that the device is not trying to utilize the WiFi network while actively collecting GPS positions. 2) Tap the Plus Button 3) Select the Feature to Collect 4) Enter Data in Forms

Common Form Types Note: Refer to our supplemental iOS user documentation for examples on the more extensive forms control types and functionality.



Combo Box: Tap the dropdown control and select a value from the pick list then tap ‘Done’.

Tabs: Additional forms tabs are located at the bottom portion of the screen Relationship Control: Allows multiple entries in a separate table in the GIS database or separate table in non GIS database. Tap the ‘Add’ button to add additional related features.

Step 5: Sync with Server 1) After all field data is collected, tap the sync button to upload all records
