HUDDERSFIELD GIANTS COMMUNITY MULTI-SKILLS CURRICULUM DELIVERY Huddersfield Community Trust uses the power of Sport to improve the lives of young people through a variety of high quality school sports delivery during curriculum and enrichment time. Programmes are bespoke to your school alongside the national curriculum as we believe in working in partnership. Our flexible sessions provide significant benefits such as raising aspirations, increased health and wellbeing, confidence, attendance and social inclusion. A variety of options are available for you to develop the perfect package to benefit your school and students. For example: -Curriculum PE & PPA Cover Sessions -Breakfast Clubs -Lunch Clubs -After School Clubs All sessions are delivered by qualified staff with relevant sports, safeguarding and first aid qualifications as well as up to date DBS checks.

RUGBY LEAGUE SKILLS DELIVERY Rugby skills sessions provide an inclusive and engaging introduction to Rugby League through use of a wide range of none contact activities that support the physical development of young people in PE and school sport. Session outcomes also include the development of physical literacy providing children with a movement foundation for lifelong participation in physical activity.
AFTER-SCHOOL & LUNCH CLUBS Our enrichment clubs run a similar programme to our curriculum coaching sessions but with a bigger focus on modified games and skills that accompany these games. There is a massive emphasis on fun, self-achievement and self-confidence. Your school will also receive a FREE assembly to support the promotion of the club.

DANCE ZONE MULTI SKILLS Sessions provide children with the opportunity to develop their physical literacy and fundamental movement skills through a variety of different activities. These movement fundamentals provide foundations for lifelong physical activity through fun active games and activities.
SPORT SPECIFIC SESSIONS Our sports offer is vast with experienced qualified coaches in a variety of sports and disciplines including football, cricket, dodgeball, rounders and many more. Delivery can be tailored to one specific sport or a variety. All multi-sport sessions will look to develop skills and techniques as well as confidence and physical literacy.
A variety of dance based sessions are available on a bespoke basis to your school within both curriculum and enrichment time.
CHEERLEADING Formally recognised as a sport by the International Olympic Committee in 2016 our progressive Cheerleading sessions work within the United States All Star Federation (USASF) framework. Routines can be developed over a number of weeks for a school performance or specific vent such as our end of year Kirklees Schools Level 2 Competition.
EXTRAS During the academic year schools will be offered the opportunity to participate in performance events with us to display their hard work during the season. These include: A yearly collaboration between schools within Kirklees, to perform a specifically choreographed piece of dance all together at a Huddersfield Giants home fixture. This performance usually takes place in the Feb-March term (subject to fixtures being released) and attracts over 300 performers.

Kirklees Schools Cheerleading Competition
This competition is run in conjunction with Yorkshire Sport Foundation and is their district Level 2 competition. Both primary and secondary schools are eligible to enter. Secondary school winners progress to the Level 3 finals, competing against regional schools.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH CLUBS
Jump & Shout
Previously delivered by Kirklees Council, events take place three times a year. Schools perform their devised piece for family and friends at the Lawrence Batley Theatre.
Fun, enjoyable sports sessions held before school or during lunchtime breaks. Breakfast and lunch clubs increase physical activity of children, support attendance and punctuality as well as develop physical literacy. All clubs are bespoke to each schools requirements regarding both delivery and payment options.
Sports
Working alongside the British Gymnastic Proficiency Awards, sessions aim to develop and showcase gymnastic strength, balance, co-ordination and agility. Sessions range in focus from tumbling, rhythmic and artistic gymnastics disciplines.

HEALTH & EDUCATION OFFERS READY STEADY GO JUNIORS A health and wellbeing programme for children and young people in Key Stage 1 & 2. Within the programme children are educated in healthy food choices, the contents of foods as well as being able to try fruits and vegetables with an overall aim get children more active and healthy. Key Stage 1 children get a special treat with regular visits from Munch Junior. Ready Steady Go Juniors can be delivered either as curriculum delivery or as an after-school or lunch club.
Schools receive discount on curriculum delivery when they book three hours per week or more within a sliding scale structure, the more you book the more you save!

TACKLING LITERACY The project is aimed at children, who struggle, dislike or have little interest in reading, with an objective to encourage and motivate these children into reading with help using the brand power of the Huddersfield Giants. We can work alongside any special projects you already have running or we can simply listen to individual children or groups of children read, the choice is yours.Tackling Literacy can be delivered either as curriculum delivery or as an after-school or lunch club.
SCHOOL ASSEMBLIES Using the brand of HCT and Huddersfield Giants Community we are able to deliver a wide array of engaging assemblies. Assemblies can be customised to school requirements however example assemblies include cyber crime, anti bullying, what makes a professional athlete and leading a healthy lifestyle. Huddersfield Giants Mascot Big G will also be on hand* to ensure assemblies are a memorable, impactful experiences.
