Export readiness (09:00-15:00) Developing a strong foundation for your future export ventures will place your business in the best position to succeed. This workshop is designed to help you map the journey you will take in developing international sales channels. This workshop will cover:  An overview of the support and advice available from the Department for International Trade (DIT)  An introduction to some of the key principles of business internationalisation, including export market research, routes to market, shipping and documentation, getting paid and protecting IPR  The importance of international communication and culture  Preparing an Export Action Plan to be implemented with support from DIT

Who should attend? This workshop is designed for senior decision makers whose company is in the early stages of selling overseas.

Angela is member of the Birmingham Business School Advisory Board and is a visiting lecturer on their MSc in International Marketing. Angela received an OBE for Services to Business in 2010.
