Second  Farm  Products:  We  allow  and  encourage  you  to  bring  2nd  farm  products  from  the  Gorge  to   increase  the  diversity  of  offerings  at  the  market.    Please  list  all  products  you  plan  to  sell  that  you  will   not  produce.  These  must  still  come  from  the  Gorge  and  have  signage  at  market  to  indicate  the  source.     You  will  not  be  allowed  to  second  farm  products  without  approval  from  market  management.     Product

Page  3-­‐  Market  Dates  &  Booth  Spaces:    Please  indicate  which  market  dates  you  would  like  to   participate  in:   We  ask  for  1-­‐week  notice  if  you  cannot  make  a  market  you  have  committed  to.  If  you  must  cancel  for   unforeseen  circumstances,  we  ask  for  24  hours  notice.  If  you  cancel  with  less  than  24  hours  notice,  or   do  not  show  up,  you  will  be  charged  $40.       Market  Dates:  Please  check  the  dates  of  all  the  markets  you  will  participate.  Don’t  forget  to  write   these  dates  down  for  your  reference  in  the  future.   q q q q q q q q

Booth  Options:  Please  choose  your  booth  option  for  each  market.     The  indoor  market  space  is  unique  and  takes  some  fancy  footwork  to  puzzle  all  vendors  into  an  easy-­‐ to-­‐shop  layout.  We  can  try  to  accommodate  vendors  with  different  booth  dimension  requests,   although  this  is  not  always  possible.  A  full  booth  space  at  the  indoor  market  is  about  8  ft.  deep  x  9  ft.   wide  /  across.

Page  5:  Gorge  Grown  Farmers  Markets  Prepared  Food  Application   Business  Name:____________________________________________________   GG  farmers  markets  strive  to  provide  a  place  where  fresh  and  wholesome  products  are  sold,   prioritizing  the  interest  of  local  agriculture.  In  recognition  of  this,  we  have  developed  guidelines  to  help   determine  how  appropriate  each  Prepared  Food  applicant  is  for  the  markets.   Use  of  local  ingredients:  Menu  items  will  incorporate  at  least  25%  of  ingredients  from  local  products.     Ingredients  must  be  clearly  advertised  with  the  following  information:  The  ingredient,  what  product  it   is  in,  who  produced  the  ingredient  and  the  location  of  the  producer.  This  should  be  a  sign  that  is  visible   to  the  public.    

 

Compatibility:  The  product  should  be  unique,  and/or  fill  a  niche  in  the  market.   Production:  The  vendor  should  have  a  substantial  “hands-­‐on”  contribution  to  the  making  of  the   product.   County  Health  Department/State  Department  of  Agriculture:  Vendors  should  be  in  good  standing   with  the  Hood  River  and/or  Wasco  County  Health  Department  and,  if  applicable,  the  OR  or  WA   state  Department  of  Agriculture.
