IPGA's 11TH ANNUAL CONFERENCE IS COMING TO MINNEAPOLIS THIS JUNE AND BRINGING YOU A RANGE OF NEW LEARNING OPPORTUNITIES! As part of this year’s Annual Conference of the International Policy Governance Association, we are running a series of workshops and presentations especially open to those who are new to Policy Governance® and those who are interested in governance in general. This gives you the opportunity to register to take part in particular sessions of interest to you whilst also networking amongst the entire conference.

How about joining us on Thursday for a look at mergers? Alternatively, or in addition, you might want to join us on Saturday for a whole day of presentations and interaction on topics from governance failures, to fundraising, to what the future has in store! Governance Challenges and Possibilities: Program Options

There are three possible workshop/programs available to you. Join us for one, two or all three options! See registration details for each here.

Option 1 THURSDAY, JUNE 19th, 2014 12.30 - 4.00 p.m. [Afternoon Break: 2.30 - 2.45 p.m.]

Mergers: The Future for All? Questions and Actions for Every Organization with Judy Sharken Simon, and Renae Oswald-Anderson This workshop will be of value to everyone, from those not seriously thinking about strategic alignments and mergers to those seriously considering them, as well as those already started down the path.  Understand the activities and capacity building steps organizations can take to support merger/realignment success,  Gain resources to help in considering the next steps and “organizational readiness” to a partnership  Understand the realignment continuum  Learn success factors, including key governance roles, of happy mergers.

Judy Sharken Simon Judy is Senior Consultant, Strategic Services at MAP for Nonprofits. She works with organizations on board development, organizational development and strategic processes and planning, using her unique expertise on the life stages of organizations to help her clients maximize their potential.

Renae Oswald-Anderson Renae is Director of ReDesign Services at MAP for Nonprofits which provides realignment and strategic services (including strategic processes, planning and board development) to nonprofit organizations.

Subject to demand, a second session will be run] Karen Fryday-Field Karen is the Senior Partner of The Meridian Edge Management and Governance Consulting Group in London, Ontario which provides governance and strategic organizational development consulting services to Boards of Directors and Senior Management Teams.
