In line with the National Industrial Policy, the Government Institutions Pension Fund “GIPF” has heeded to the call for Private Sector support in financing growth at home. Such investments will be made via professional investment managers as governed by the GIPF‟s Unlisted Investment Policy and regulated under Regulation 29 of the Pension Funds Act Number 28 of 1956. Policy GIPF„s Unlisted Investment Policy is further segmented into Private Equity and Impact Investing. The key objective of the Private Equity Portfolio is to seek risk-adjusted returns over and above that of the public market. Proposals in the following areas are thus sought: 1. Private Equity excluding Secondary Purchases 2. Venture Capital excluding Seed Funding The above streams are for all sectors of business excluding Property and Real Estate.
