A Little Note From The 6th Grade Team... As the months of school progress please continue to help us support your child in their learning process. This means making sure homework is completed and turned in, supplies are brought to class everyday and are replenished if necessary, grades are checked on [PowerSchool] periodically, and keeping an open line of communication with us; if there is anything you need from us we are here to help! Now that we are [Geographical Geniuses], we will first visit Mesopotamia and Egypt. We will learn about ancient cultures, traditions, history, and be able to examine artifacts.

English Language Arts Standards? The [Common Core] asks students to read stories and literature, as well as more complex texts that provide facts and background knowledge in areas such as science and social studies. Students will be challenged and asked questions that push them to refer back to what they’ve read.
