Graduating High School Seniors 2014 Scholarships To South Seattle Community College The South Seattle Community College Foundation is pleased to offer tuition scholarships to graduating high school seniors to attend South Seattle Community College. These scholarships are available for students who demonstrate strong academic performance, leadership qualities and involvement in school and community activities.
Criteria for Eligibility • • • • •
Applicant must be graduating from high school in Spring 2014. Applicant must plan to attend SSCC full-time (12 credits or more/quarter) beginning fall 2014 (ESL courses are not considered full-time credit courses.) Applicant must display academic excellence and /or financial need. Applicant must show evidence of exceptional leadership and/or involvement in school and community activities South Seattle Community College is in Accordance with Washington state antidiscrimination laws, Title VI and VII of the Civil Rights Acts of 1964, Title IX and Section 504 ADA.
Application Procedures A Complete Scholarship Application Must Include the Following:
□ Completed application form □ Personal letter stating educational goals, financial need special abilities and/or contributions to school or community, employment, etc.
□ 1 letter of recommendation from teacher, counselor or employer □ Copy of high school transcript through fall semester, 2013
DEADLINE: To Be Considered, Completed Application Packets and Required Material above must be received in the Development Office by: 4:00 p.m. Monday, March 3, 2014 Mail or deliver to: SSCC Foundation –6000 16th Ave S.W, Seattle, WA 98106-1499 If you mail your application, be sure it will arrive in our office by the deadline. Applications received after the deadline will not be considered.
