2¼ teaspoons molasses

¼ teaspoon yellow mustard

INGREDIENTS ¾ cup frozen pitted tart cherries, thawed

2¼ teaspoons apple cider vinegar 1½ teaspoons bourbon 1–2 garlic cloves, peeled 1/8 teaspoon kosher salt Pinch ground black pepper Pinch ground cloves or chipotle powder 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts

2 tablespoons no salt added tomato sauce

PREPARATION To make the sauce, combine cherries, tomato sauce, molasses, vinegar, bourbon, garlic, mustard, salt, pepper and cloves in a blender or food processor. Process until almost smooth. Set aside. (Note: sauce can be made up to two days in advance.) Pound each chicken breast to a half-inch thickness. Generously brush each chicken breast with cherry bourbon BBQ sauce. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Coat with vegetable oil spray. Place chicken breasts on grill for 4 to 5 minutes per side or until outside is charred and grill marks have formed. Brush with additional sauce as desired. Serve with steamed rice and asparagus.
