Parking and disabled parking

Parking is available in the Merrivale, Quickwell Hill and Pebbles car parks. Please note there is very limited disabled parking around the West Front and North side of the Cathedral. If you require disabled parking you must notify the bookings secretary in advance when you purchase your tickets. Subject to availability a Festival disabled parking badge will be issued with your ticket order for you to display in your car window which will help us to identify those drivers who have requested this in advance. Please ensure that you always arrive in good time (at least 30 minutes) prior to the start of all the concerts so that we can assist in finding you a space. Due to the high demand for spaces we do our absolute best to accommodate all disabled drivers, but unfortunately we cannot always guarantee you a parking place. There will be a free return bus service for the disabled from the car park at Oriel y Parc which will take you straight to the main entrance of the Cathedral for the Festival Chorus Concert – Saturday 30th May. A pass for the bus will be issued on request by the Bookings Secretary. Please contact Melanie Northall, email [email protected] or telephone 01437 721890.

Festival Exhibitions Retrospective Festival Exhibition

Tŷ’r Pererin, the Cathedral’s Education and Pilgrimage Centre, is delighted to be able to support the educational outreach programme for St Davids Cathedral Festival again this year. We are again working in conjunction with the Festival in its musical education in schools in order to foster greater links between schools and the Cathedral. We also continue to offer an extensive range of educational visit programmes for children as well as retreats and other visits for adults. The beautifully extended and renovated building offers an inspiring space for educational and spiritual development related to the life of the cathedral on the theme of pilgrimage. This year during the Festival we are pleased to be able to host two Coffee Concerts. We will also be holding a Retreat Day with a musical theme. This day on Thursday 28th May is entitled “Worship and Music; a match made in heaven” and will be led by the Reverend Dr Stephen Roberts. It promises to be an interesting day with opportunity to reflect on and participate in music. The day begins with coffee 10am – 10.30 and runs until 4pm, finishing with tea and cake at 3.30pm. We ask that you make your own arrangements for lunch between 12noon and 1pm. We invite a contribution of £5 per person to cover the costs of the day. We hope some of you will be able to join us. If you are intending to come on this day, would like to participate in any of our other education programmes or talk about ways in which the team at Tŷ’r Pererin could help you or your groups engage with the life and work of the Cathedral please contact us to make a booking.
