Hackney Learning Trust Microsoft Educational Event Held on the 19th June 2018
Teaching and learning utilising technology is important. Technology events are a great way for educators to gather and hear about the latest trends and development with software that can help them.
Hackney Learning Trust partner with Microsoft The goal for this event was to showcase Microsoft applications and how they are being used in Schools.
Innovative ideas to help with teaching and learning Attendees were introduced to some beneficial Microsoft applications and shown how they can be used in the classroom.
Teaching and learning using Microsoft software A wonderful suite of applications such as Windows 10, Office 365, Teams, Sway to teach you how to integrate technology into your lesson plan. Some hidden gems that attendees didn’t know existed!
Our trainer helped facilitate learning The event was a great way for attendees to enter into one to one discussions with the facilitator who could address any specific requirements.
The ‘learn by doing’ methodology Laptops were provided to give a handson learning experience. This was a great way to reinforce subjects covered throughout the session.
Incorporating Technology With classroom pedagogy Practice time was an opportunity for the attendees to reflect on how technology can benefit them in a classroom environment.
Get involved and problem solve Attendees used their cognitive skills to decipher, evaluate and problem solve tasks given to them on the day.
Encouraging questions and session feedback Attendees were invited to ask any questions or observations they had on the day.
Resources, mentors, tips and tricks There’s a plethora of resources available to get started.
“It’s about scheduling the right events for schools and educators.” The event was delivered by a Microsoft Educator with an appetite for education and technology.
