Colleagues, On behalf of the Humanitarian Country Team (HCT), I take this opportunity to recognize the contributions of communities and daily workers operating alongside humanitarian organizations to deliver much needed assistance in all camp-like settings, including Protection of Civilian (PoC) sites, collective centres and spontaneous settlements. Following extensive consultations with partners, the humanitarian community has agreed to a strategy to harmonize the daily rate of incentives to be paid to community daily workers in camp sites as below: 1. 2. 3.

3, 4 and 5 dollars is the rate for unskilled, semi-skilled and skilled labour respectively; Payment will be made in South Sudanese Pounds, calculated using the UN monthly exchange rate. The monthly equivalent in South Sudanese Pounds will be communicated on the first day of every new month by the Camp Coordination and Camp Management (CCCM) cluster.

Yours sincerely,

Eugene Owusu Humanitarian Coordinator
