If you answered “yes” to at least 17 questions, your organization has leading business practices in place that form the backbone of our certification review. You are well-prepared to move onto the next step in the process – contacting us for an application.

1. General Eligibility Requirements Yes

No Has your firm placed at least 10 individual clinical employees on assignments?

Does your firm place clinical staff who either provide patient care directly or direct patient care within a contracted organization?

2. Leadership Yes

No Do the leaders set goals, develop plans, and manage performance measurement acttivities? Do you have a written code of business ethics? Does it discuss conflicts of interest? Are you in compliance with all the federal, state, or local laws and regulations? Do you provide your clients with a written contract or other formal agreement? Does it cover the scope and level of services you are providing, such as: -use of subcontractors, -reassignment (floating) of personnel, -responsibility for establishing staff competency Do you have a written description of your complaint policy and a method for resolving complaints from staff or customers? Are policies and procedures followed to manage safety risks, including: -occupational illnesses and injuries to staff -security incidents, including property damage -unexpected patient incidents -a log of reported accidents, injuries, and safety hazards? Does your firm have a written emergency management or disaster plan?

How ready is my firm to apply today? 3. Human Resources Management Yes

No Do you have a written policy in place to confirm that a person’s qualifications and competencies fit with their assignment and their job responsibilities? Does it include such items as: Current licensure, certification, or registration required Education, training, and experience A criminal background check Health screening and immunization requirements Proof of identity A job description from your customer, including minimum qualifications and competencies required. Does your firm provide thorough orientations for your staff? Is there a way for clinical staff to contact the staffing firm if they are reassigned to an area where they don’t feel competent? Is the clinical competency of your staff to perform their job duties assessed, demonstrated, and maintained on an ongoing basis? When someone cannot perform to the proper level of competency, is their job assignment modified, and/or other appropriate action taken? Does your firm report aberrant or illegal behavior to the appropriate professional boards and law enforcement agencies when necessary? Do you facilitate ongoing educational opportunities to maintain and improve the clinical competency of your field staff, such as notifying them of in-services, training, and other activities? Does your firm periodically conduct performance evaluations?

No Does your firm have an organized, comprehensive plan for performance improvement? Do you use input from your customers in this process? Is the data you collect for your performance improvement initiatives standardized, accurate, complete and timely? Do you analyze the data you collect using appropriate data analysis tools? Do you make improvements based on this analysis?

5. Information Management Yes

No Are your firm’s information management processes able to meet your internal and external information needs? Do you have and maintain a health and human resources record for every staff member? Do you have a written policy to address privacy, confidentiality and security of information about your staff and your customers? Do you back up your files regularly and store them offsite (and/or store important paper files in a fireproof box) so that in the event of an emergency at your office, your records would survive?
