Google Enters World of Patient Data Google is entering the world of patient data. One electronic medical records company is incorporating Google Glass into its platform. They plan to “create the first wearable health record –one that is always mobile.” By wearing Google Glass, the company foresees physician being able to review a patientʼs medical record hands-free or take a photo of the patient in any setting, such as surgery. The doctor could record videos or do real-time streaming of their visits with patients. They could get real-time notifications about patients. Google Glass would provide data collection and sharing alternatives. But would you want your doctor in the room with a recording device on his head? “Google Glass links to EHR,” Bernie Monegain, Healthcare IT News, June 19, 2014.
