Is Obamacare or the ACA Better? I think weʼre living in the age of the not-informed voter. Itʼs worse than the low-informed voter. So many people havenʼt a clue what is happening, but they sure have an opinion about what they donʼt know. The Jimmy Kimmel Live program went to the street to ask people whether they liked Obamacare or the Affordable Care Act better. They are of course the same thing. But most people interviewed adamantly preferred the ACA over Obamacare because they said the ACA offers choices not mandates. People who know nothing can be led to believe anything. Theyʼll believe the Exchanges are marketplaces, and only too late will they learn theyʼve become trapped in a government program. “Jimmy Kimmel proves that many Americans donʼt understand thereʼs no difference between Obamacare and the Affordable Care Act,” Adam Edelman, New York Daily News, October 2, 2013.
