1.2 Navy medical staff operate in RIC. They are attending RIC daily and provide medical assessment and refer to the hospital or to WAHA accordingly. PRAKSIS has already received some medicines. More medicines are expected, some equipment too. Doctor's office still hasn't been repaired. Police send many patients at hospital, specially in the afternoon when there is no doctor at RIC.

1.3 WAHA has no budget available for medicine purchase. Waiting for renewal. Medicines that can not be provided by WAHA stock will be purchased by the UNHCR for about a week. PRAKSIS deliver medicine to the RIC, get the daily list of medicines and the list of appointments with the hospital and PRAKSIS nurses arrange them. There is, currently, need for someone to coordinate patients and procedures when they visit the hospital. One of PRAKSIS nurse has been there during this week. Suggestion to produce a health card for patients as well as a leaflet with instructions regarding medical matters; hospital map, procedures to follow when in hospital. UNHCR willing to supply the above. Lack of interpreter at hospital in many cases.

Gap in communication between WAHA-hospital. Need for Greek speaking administrative staff. Suggestion to produce a form to be completed by doctors at hospital. Doctors to be asked to write a short diagnosis apart from prescription. WAHA will then analyze it and give medicine without having to re-examine the patient. Police refuse to transfer PoCs from shelter area to doctor's office. FRS personnel were asked to do it. PRAKSIS nurse is to do this within this week. She is going to be there in order to facilitate procedures and do the triage. Suggestion to produce a referral note for Navy doctors.
