Parenting Workshop—Sunday, August 27 at 6PM Ever wonder what's going on in your teenager's brain? Where's the handbook for how to parent a teen? Faith Student Ministries has partnered with a licensed counselor to help you better understand the psychology that drives teens’ decisions. Bring your questions and be part of the discussion on Sun, Aug 27th at 6PM. Also, we'll fill you in on what Faith Student Ministries has planned this year to impact your students. As we strive to BE the Church in, for and with our community, we are joining efforts with United Methodists across North Texas in the One + One initiative. We will serve children in these specific ways this school year:  Birthday Book Club This is a way to celebrate literacy. Once a month we set up a table in the cafeteria at McNair Elementary, and let each student with a birthday that month select a BRAND NEW book from the table as a birthday gift.  Be on-site at McNair to help distribute books (10:30am-1:30pm  Donate NEW books (bring books to the Mission Matters table)  Mentors and Reading Buddies (commit to 1 hour, 1 time a week for the school year)  Special event helpers - such as Fall Carnival, PTA programs etc. (one time commitments as needed) If you would like more info, make a note on your Connection Card.

Did you know Faith UMC is going to be 14 years old next month?! We invite you to stay for lunch after worship on Sunday, September 10 (Mexican theme). We will take a look back at where we’ve been, celebrate where we are, and look forward to a future full of more life-changing ministry.
