Once a month we set up a table in the cafeteria at McNair Elementary, and let each student with a birthday that month select a BRAND NEW book from the table as a birthday gift. As you’re out shopping this holiday season, consider purchasing a book to donate to this ministry. Books can be left at the Mission Matters table in the Connection Center. Be a Blessing to Others This Christmas Thank you to everyone that helped put together a Thanksgiving basket for one of the single-parent families at Cumberland. Moving forward, we have an opportunity to help families with Christmas. As you give thanks for all that God has blessed you with, consider doing something to bless others this Christmas—involve your whole family. See the Mission Matters Table for details.
Family Advent Celebration ~ NEXT Sunday, December 3 at 5PM The festivities start with a live musical, performed by our children and youth: An Unplugged Christmas, at 5:00, followed by a time for fun family crafts, yummy snacks, and lots of Christmas cheer. This is a great opportunity to invite friends and neighbors to join you for a merry good time! Admission for this event is a new book for the Birthday Book Program at our partner school McNair Elementary. It is extraordinarily helpful to have RSVPs so we can ensure we are adequately prepared. If you are interested, please make a note on your Connection Card.
