Special Operations Food Security and Livelihoods Cluster

 During the weekly FSLC meeting, members were updated on the progress of submissions of requested inputs for the UN General Assembly side event on South Sudan. A review of the current portfolio of the cluster Crisis Response Plan projects was done to highlight the funding gaps for the most urgent activities between now and December.

 Partners

were also informed on the July achievements against the cluster targets. Based on the information provided by the cluster members, gaps on response at county level were identified and partners were requested to provide additional information on specific locations to better address those gaps.

 The HCT has recently endorsed the Humanitarian Programme Cycle (HPC) as the strategic planning approach for South Sudan in 2015. In order to familiarize partners with the process, a short presentation was included during the weekly meeting. Information was provided on the next steps for the humanitarian community.
