Christmas Trees Christmas trees may be put out for pick up on regular weekly green waste collection days. Ornaments, tinsel and lights must be removed. Christmas trees and all other green waste are made into mulch or compost. Cooking Oil and Grease Used cooking oil and cooking grease can be dropped off at the Recycling Center located at Public Works, 111 Gillingham Lane. The center is open Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Please check in at the front office. Bulk Cardboard Recycling Bulk cardboard recycling is offered on an on-call basis. This service is only for quantities of cardboard that are too large to fit in the recycle cart. Styrofoam, packing materials and any other items are not accepted. Flatten boxes.
