Class of 2016! What an awesome week in your life this is! Anne & I care very much about you and are so proud of you. From the point you stepped into the Student Ministry, it has been a joy to watch you on your spiritual journey growing closer to God and learning to trust in Him. It has been our goal to lead you to where you are independently dependent on God. It has been a privilege to see you get to this point in your lives today and to teach you God’s Word during your teenage years. It has been a joy to watch you grow up in the Lord during DNow, Bridge, Ocoee, Student VBS, High School Camp and the Sunday and Wednesday Night ministry times. It has been exciting to see many of you step up into leadership roles and teach others at camps, Mission Trips, VBS, and Wednesday nights. Lastly, it is with mixed emotions to see you transition to the next phase and chapter in your life. We will miss you in the student area, but we know God has big plans for you wherever you go in career, college, military, etc. We leave you with this verse as you step into the next phase of your life, “So be careful to do what the LORD your God has commanded you; do not turn aside to the right or to the left. “ Deuteronomy 5:32. This is such an exciting time in your lives. You have reached a milestone that marks the hard work and effort you have displayed through the years. As you begin this new and exciting stage in your life, whether you are going on to college, graduate school, the workforce, or the military, I encourage you to rely on God and trust in Him. Jeremiah 29:11 says, “For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” God has a specific and perfect plan for each one of you. Trust in God and the perfect plan that He has for you as you begin this new stage of life. I cannot wait to get to know each and every one of you high school grads, and to see how God works in your lives. I am so proud of you college grads, and it has been a blessing to be a part of your lives these past four years. I look forward to seeing you all in the College & Young Singles Ministry. You’ve made it! Congratulations on completing a monumental life goal! I am proud of each of you and it has been my privilege to see you grow not only into young adults, but into Christian leaders as well. Watching you come up through the youth group has been an honor and I cannot wait to see what God has in store for you as you move into the next chapter of your lives. Wherever God leads you, whether it be towards furthering your education or into a career, keep Him as your focus. Psalm 37:3-5 says, “Trust in the Lord, and do good; dwell in the land and befriend faithfulness. Delight yourself in the Lord, and he will give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way to the Lord; trust in him, and he will act.” When your desire is for God and his glory, God’s blessing on your lives will be far greater than any other promotion, accolade, or trophy anyone else can offer. The world is open to you and you can do great things in it, but the greatest thing you can do is to reach the world for Christ, whatever your setting and capacity may be. Matt Taylor
