HOW TO APPLY TO AN ACADEMIC PROGRAM PREPARE YOUR DOCUMENTS • Kindly ensure that your online file is assigned to the Los Angeles Office and upload a copy of your passport, civil ID card, full grade reports, IGCSE and edexcel certificates, health records, test scores, and authorization form to your Dayrah account: http://www.mohe.edu.kw/dayrah/ • Please ensure that your email address and phone number are updated on Dayrah and that you check your email regularly.

• Research universities that you would like to attend and are approved for your decreed major: http://www.kuwaitculture.com/university-listings/ university-search-1 • Keep your options open, plan to apply to more than one university and be mindful of due dates and deadlines! • Fill out and submit application forms, please remember to include each school’s supplementary application.
CONTACT YOUR PLACEMENT ADVISOR
• You will receive an email confirmation once you submit your application(s). Please provide this confirmation email to your placement advisor so that your supporting documents and proof of financial support can be submitted to the school. • Each student is assigned to a placement advisor based on the first letter of their first name. SUBMIT YOUR OFFICIAL DOCUMENTS
• Schools will require original and official test scores. AUTHENTICATION
• Acceptance notifications may arrive in 2-4 months from the application deadline. • When you receive all acceptance notifications, select one school you would like to attend. Submit preenrollment deposit (if applicable) and all the documents required by the university in order to accept their offer, including “intent to enroll” & “I-20 request” forms. • Upon receiving your admission packet, email a copy of your admission letter & I-20 to your placement advisor. • Once your authentication is completed, your placement advisor will provide you with a copy via email. Please allow 7-14 business days for your admission to be authenticated. • Please upload a copy of your authenticated admission to your file by logging into the Ministry’s Dayrah system: http://www.mohe.edu.kw/dayrah/
REGISTER
Registration generally takes 7-14 business days, we strongly recommend arriving two weeks prior to your program start date to avoid any delays with your registration. • Upon your arrival to the U.S. provide your placement advisor with copies of the following: • Valid passport • Valid F-1 Visa and I-94 (Can be printed here: www.cbp.gov/I94). • I-20 used to enter the U.S. • Voided check or Direct Deposit form from your U.S bank account • U.S. permanent address and telephone number (if available) • Current email address • Two emergency contacts (one in the U.S. and one in Kuwait) revision 20160617
