Step 1 Draw a circle for the head and an oval for the body. Draw lightly at first.

Step 2 Draw the bill with a triangle shape. Draw the wing with a slanted rectangle shape. Draw two lines from the head to the body to make a neck.

Step 3 Use curved linesto shape the mallard to make it look more realistic. Add an eye.

Step 4 Add details to the duck such as nostrils and feet. Add background details, including a pattern showing feet movement.

Step 5 Add the colors of your duck. Color the background.

Step 6 To create a more realistic picture, shade in the dark areas where the sun would not hit.
