These endeavors ensure the path to progress and prosperity through co-operation. GEO has focused its aims & objectives to face the new challenges of industry. It has reoriented itself from Industrial Relation (IR) to Human Resource Development (HRD) so as to provide expert legal advice and assist in the selection of personnel, training and development of human resources, acquisition of knowledge, improvement of skills and efficiency and bringing about a change in work attitudes. To keep pace with rapid changes around the country, GEO provides services like Time & Motion studies, Psychometric Tests, Aptitude & Attitude Tests, and implementation of 5-S, Kaizen, Lean manufacturing & other quality tools. It also tries to maintain an association of all industries situated within Gujarat, solves IR issues in lawful and constitutional manner and disseminates useful information connected with trade and industry acquired through State and Central Governments and other sources. GEO is in the service of industrial sector for last 33 years.

Organizational Transformation: Necessity for Sustainable Growth In the current VUCA (Volatile, Uncertain, Complex and Ambiguous) world, lifecycles of business model are getting shortened by frequent disruptions and dislocations across industries. These require businesses to adopt sustainable strategies that can withstand widespread ambiguity in the business world. The organizations need to define their purpose, link them to their strategic priorities and drive purpose by transforming themselves across several key dimensions. Accenture has conducted proprietary research to showcase how organizations may transform themselves and tread a path of sustainable growth. There are three key areas which drive sustainable growth for an organization and these are: •Market relevance •Leadership development •Distinctiveness of capabilities Market relevance: Predicting the shift in technology, markets and consumer preferences and creating the next basis of competition in the industry even while nurturing an existing business that has not yet peaked. Leadership development: Defining the skills and capabilities needed by organizations to meet their business strategy and goals in a sustainable way. Distinctiveness of capabilities: Defining the organization structure, processes, systems and traits needed for high performance and sustainable growth. It is therefore of paramount importance that organisations gear themselves up to continuously introspect, evaluate, evolve and reinvent strategies to transform for sustenance and growth. Responding to this growing need, GEO is delighted to present to professional fraternity in association with Accenture, the 5th HR Convention on Organizational Transformation – Necessity for Sustainable Growth, on 13th Dec. 2014 in Vadodara. The program will involve business leaders from multiple sectors covering Industry, Academia, Consultancy & Govt. sharing their perspectives and experiences on the theme.
