Gates’ state-of-the-art training facility is dedicated to leading the industry in customerfocused product research and development. The facility features several technical labs, mobile equipment bays and theaterstyle classrooms with individual computer workstations.
Gates Automotive Aftermarket division is offering Hydraulic Training classes in 2015 to help counter personnel, store managers, technicians and outside sales people increase their hydraulic knowledge to help grow business. Classes will be held in Englewood, Colorado at the Gates Customer Solutions Center (CSC). The sessions will combine comprehensive classroom training with individual hands-on activities and group problem solving projects.

Hyd 102 Intermediate to Advanced April 27 & 28, 2015 (Monday & Tuesday) July 20 & 21, 2015 (Monday & Tuesday) September 21 & 22, 2015 (Monday & Tuesday) Topics to be covered: › Hydraulic system – basic overview › Hydraulic safety (STAMPED) › Hose identification › Specialty hose products - C14 PTFE hose and couplings - Thermoplastic hose and couplings - Fleet Products - Air Brake - DEF - Coolant Tubes › Coupling thread identification (includes international thread types) › Quick disconnects - Live Swivel Joints - Ball Valves › Adapters & Accessories (Ermeto) › Hands-on hose assembly › Hose routing trouble shooting
Classes are open to all Gates Aftermarket customers & associates. Each class is 1.5 days. Cost per attendee is $300.00.
Attendees are responsible for: › Transportation to/from Denver › Transportation to/from airport › Hotel Cost – We have negotiated a special rate of approximately $100 per night. We will provide hotel information to you upon class registration. Preparation for Hands-On Training For those with little or no knowledge of hydraulic basics, we recommend the following study methods as a pre-requisite to taking classes at the Gates CSC. › Read introduction to Hydraulics 101 Training Manual (428-7153). You can download the PDF from gates.com/ autotraining or contact your local Gates sales representative for a printed copy. › Take some courses online at the Gates Performance Center learning site. You may find courses like Introduction to Hydraulic Hose and Introduction to Hydraulic Hose & Fittings beneficial. You will need to register as a user at the site.
