ICE Professional Learning Coordinator POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT ICE is seeking to add a forward thinking, educationally sound leader to manage and coordinate all elements of its Professional Development offerings. ICE is specifically seeking someone to guide our membership-based association in all aspects of planning, producing and delivering a diversified event calendar that serves our membership across the many areas of the P-20 education environment. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND Illinois Computing Educators (ICE) is a non-profit membership organization of nearly 12,000 educators. ICE provides educators, administrators and technical personnel with a forum for the advancement of education through technology. ICE strives to be a catalyst of innovation in education by strengthening relationships among educators, leading pedagogical change, and empowering schools with world-class professional development opportunities. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES The Professional Learning Coordinator is responsible for the overall management and improvements of ICE’s professional development offerings, while ensuring the organization can effectively serve a broad spectrum of needs and interests through conferences, events, organizational collaborations, professional resources and in the development of strategic initiatives that serve to enhance our member’s professional practice. Qualifications: 1. Possess an in-depth knowledge of current technology; instructional issues and trends; digital learning practices and resources; preK-12 instructional practice; PreK-12 curriculum and state content standards and curriculum; ISTE technology content standards; and iNACOL blended and online learning standards. 2. Must have a current, valid teaching credential, be a member of college faculty, or have requisite K-20 experience within the past 5 years in roles such as: Lead Classroom Teacher, Technology Coach, Educational Technology Director, Curriculum Director, or Library Media Specialist. 3. Must have 2-3 years recent experience leading professional development to educators that is aligned to the State-approved national standards for professional learning (Learning Forward Standards: ​http://learningforward.org/standards​). 4. Excellent project management skills with the ability to coordinate both internal and external resources with understanding of Association based events and the logistics their events require. 5. Ability to work evenings/weekends when necessary, ability to set and meet deadlines in a forward thinking and efficient manner. 6. School or district administration experience is a plus. 7. Ed Tech certification / recognitions are a strong plus (ADE, Google Certified, etc.) Organizational Job Duties​: 1. Develop and implement professional learning programs that fulfill the ICE mission and goals. Programs will involve ESSA State Plan for Illinois, preK-12 curriculum and state content standards and curriculum, ISTE technology content standards, and iNACOL blended and online learning standards. 2. Coordinate, facilitate, and/or deliver webinars and online PD opportunities, workshops/academies, Twitter chats, and all ICE non-conference events, ICE Chapter events and TECH 20xx. 3. Manage the ICE Professional Development (PD) Provider process per ISBE requirements. 4. Facilitate all content elements of professional learning for ICE programming (speaker selections, content offerings, event schedules, published materials, etc.).

Coordinate, recruit and be point of contact for speakers and PD trainers for ICE (Makey Makey, etc.). Evaluate and analyze professional learning models to ensure ICE professional learning opportunities are effective and impactful. Establish and foster strategic partnerships among ICE Educational & Media Partners, state agencies, ROEs, education associations, postsecondary education institutions, and/or business and industry partner as related to professional learning. Work with Executive Director and Finance and Resource Manager on budget reports related to PD. Assist the Executive Director in fulfilling the responsibility of maintaining all activities and programs of ICE and its operations.

Chapter Job Duties​: 1. Serve as the main point of contact for ICE Chapters. 2. Assist Executive Director with building consistent programming opportunities within chapters. a. Identify, design, manage, and promote innovative digital learning experiences, programs, and resources to serve individual ICE Chapter needs. b. Participate in the design or customization of instructional materials, trainings, resources, evaluation forms, and and/or presentations. 3. Coordinate and support ICE Chapters with needs for offering PD, including the creation and issuing of credit for PD. 4. Facilitate or collaborate with ICE Chapters to produce technology-related professional learning experiences for K-12 educators, administrators, technology staff, and district personnel (i.e., workshops, conferences, site visits, showcases, webinars, roundtables, etc.). 5. Evaluate the effectiveness of ICE Chapter events and their impact on performance. Continuously seek feedback, ideas, and suggestions to improve professional learning opportunities’ effectiveness. Outreach and Communication: 1. Collaborate with Marketing and Events Program Coordinator on press release and social media outreach content. 2. Maintain updated list of chapter members to continually be shared with chapter leaders. 3. Create and maintain a list of ongoing ICE events to share with partners. 4. Attend all membership/partnership events and programming. 5. Coordinate all content solicitation, selections and prioritization of materials for ICE PD Newsletter. 6. Maintain strong relationships with K-12 technology coaches, curriculum directors, and all stakeholders (state/national affiliations, government agencies, etc.), and actively participates in K-12 technology community. 7. Conduct informational presentations at events representing ICE throughout the state (conferences, workshops,etc.). Location:​ Staff may work remotely and/or at the ICE office. Relocation is not necessary. Travel: ​Travel is a major component of this job, and the successful candidate will be required to travel the State of Illinois or assigned area as needed to fulfill the position requirements. Salary Range:​ $55,000 - $65,000 Benefits not included.
