IfTI Global Symposium: Financing. Impact. Together. 19 - 20 June 2018

Gengenbach, Germany

Institute for Trade and Innovation Hochschule Offenburg | Offenburg University

Informing financiers and policy makers Improving knowledge and expertise Creating a marketplace for mobilising capital

What roles should trade and development finance play in the quest for an efficient mobilisation of private capital for growth, trade and development? Participants are invited to join us in the German Black Forest for this high-level symposium, bringing together government officials and private sector representatives, innovation agencies, multilateral development banks, bilateral development finance institutions and export credit agencies to discuss prospects for innovation and the modernisation of the trade and development finance landscape. The symposium will share approaches to better understand and address current challenges, present case studies, and offer opportunities to discuss practical and pragmatic ways to move forward. It is unique in its quest to bring together experts from many corners of international finance. Hosted by the Institute for Trade and Innovation (IfTI), EKF Denmark’s Export Credit Agency as well as DEG Deutsche Investitions- und Entwicklungsgesellschaft and in partnership with the Berne Union. IfTI is a leading research institute leveraging strategic policy initiatives and practitioner-led research associated with trade, innovation and economic development.
