International Leadership Development Program (iLDP) at PIM & Pattaya The 1st International Leadership Development Program (iLDP) took place on April 2nd to 3rd on campus and also in Pattaya. This iLDP was organized by CP ALL Public Company Limited and supported by Panyapiwat Institute of Management. The goal of iLDP is to encourage networking among student leaders of International Programs as well as provide them with additional leadership skills through various leadership development courses, guest lecturers, fun activities & games. The iLDP especially focuses on students & opinion leaders who are active during their time at their prospective university activities and those who have shown strong leadership potential. The highlight of the iLDP included lecture sessions by Prof. Dr. Tang Zhimin – Dean of the International College at PIM on the topic of “A Practical Guide to the Manager, an Entrepreneur & a Leader” and "A Global Conglomerate of CP Group” by Ms. Parichart Buakao – Head of Marketing and Organization Communication department at PIM. iLDP started off the agenda of fun-filled leadership activities and games by starting off with a random grouping puzzle game of the ingredients that make up a good leader: 1) Integrity, 2) Inspiration, 3) Commitment, 4) Communication, 5) Courage, and 6) Character. Day 1 of the program started off with registration at the lovely Tara Park where the program introduction was given by Mr. Atit Koirala – Manager at PIM who also emceed throughout the program. Many ice-breaking games were conducted to enable the iLDP students to get more acquainted with one another. The enthusiastic and intelligent iLDP bunch certainly enjoyed the games and definitely formed friendships throughput the program. Ms. Puja Singh – Lecturer at PIM & Public Speaking Coach at Toastmasters International provided a lively talk on how public speaking plays an essential role in leadership. Communication as one of the foundations in becoming a great leader, speaking to the public or a large group of audience is of utmost importance.

Another lady to take the platform at the iLDP was also Ms. Pudthachad Sucharitakul - Entrepreneur & Business Consultant. She shared her personal life and success stories. She enlightened the students with her words of wisdom and profound advice on life for the next generation of leaders in the region. Her main focus was on entrepreneurial leadership. CP All & PIM provided the 1st batch of iLDP students with amazing food, snacks, beverages, and pure hospitality throughout the event. The day continued on with a short trip to Hotel Bella Cabana at Pattaya beach. The evening concluded with a splendid dinner buffet, karaoke session & musical performances. Day 2 of the iLDP included special lectures of various topics that will contribute to the future of the iLDP students. The iLDP students were given a certain amount of time to work on their final group presentation. The finale was the presentation of the groups on leadership, prize lucky draw, certification ceremony, and their safe return back to PIM.

On 8th of April, iMBA students visited Thailand Board of Investment (BOI) at One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS), Chamchuri Square Building, Bangkok for further practical understanding and aspect on the course "Investment and Finance". The Board of Investment (BOI) operates under the Prime Minister's Office and is the principal government agency for encouraging investment. The BOI's 14 overseas offices include world-wide cosmopolitan locations such as: Beijing, Frankfurt, Guangzhou, Los Angeles, Mumbai, New York, Osaka, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Stockholm, Sydney, Taipei, and Tokyo. The purpose of the BOI is to serve as Thailand's front desks in liaising with potential investors. Among the BOI’s main tasks include: enhance competitiveness & investment facilitation, business, provide support services such as comprehensive information & advice on establishing operations in Thailand, acts as Thailand's marketing arm and actively promotes the country worldwide as one of the best investment locations in Asia, and implement strategies under which promotional activities are organized around the globe throughout the year.

iMBA Company Visit to Thailand Board of Investment (BOI)

The BOI's 14 overseas offices (Beijing, Frankfurt, Guangzhou, Los Angeles, Mumbai, New York, Osaka, Paris, Seoul, Shanghai, Stockholm, Sydney, Taipei, and Tokyo) serve as Thailand's front desks in liaising with potential investors. This iMBA company visit started off with a welcoming speech & knowledge sharing session given by Ms. Chatsaeng Thanaruckchok – Investment Promotion Officer, Professional Level of BOI. She also gave a brief introduction of the BOI plus updated on current government policies and the future trend

for Investment Promotion. Furthermore, Ms. Thanaruckchok also talked about “One Start One Stop Investment Center (OSOS)”. The OSOS project is the Thai government initiative to bring investment related agencies under one roof. The bottom line of OSOS project is to help investors by cutting through the red tape and allowing the government to be more responsive to investor needs. The visit ended with Q & A session where the BOI executives expressed their admiration for the deep level of understanding of the subject matter and impressive questioning from iMBA students. Last but not the least, the iMBA class received a company tour, lunch, and a visit to a Non-Profit Organization.
