IMPLEMENTING THE AUSTRALIAN CURRICULUM IN TASMANIAN SCHOOLS (2016) There is an expectation that the following implementation timeline is adopted in all government schools. All year levels  Consolidate implementation of English, Mathematics, Science, History, Geography and HPE. Prep to Year 6  Trial and implement Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) by end of 2017.  Trial and implement the Arts and Technologies by end of 2018. Years 7 and 8  Implement My Education through the Australian Curriculum.  Trial and implement Civics & Citizenship and Economics & Business by end of 2017.  Trial and implement the Arts and Technologies by end of 2018. Years 9 and 10  Implement Work Studies in the context of My Education in 2016. MINIMAL ASSESSMENT AND REPORTING REQUIREMENTS These are the minimal assessment and reporting requirements for new subjects coming online from 2016: HASS  Prep–Year 6 Optional during trialling (2016). Full implementation with A to E by EOY (2017). Civics & Citizenship and Economics & Business  Years 7–8 Optional during trialling (2016). Full implementation with comment (2017). The Arts and Technologies  Prep-Year 6 Optional during trialling (2016-17). Full implementation with comment (2018).  Years 7–8 Optional during trialling (2016-17).
