STORIES « I’ve got so many! But if I had to choose one about Spa, it’d be in 2010, when we took part in the 1,000km race with the Peugeot 908. In the Raidillon section, a car collided with Olivier Panis… A Rebellion! It was a big crash which forced us to withdraw. Oliv’ was upset and disappointed. He left before the end of race and asked me to keep him informed about the car’s damage. After the race, as we were waiting for the tow truck, a lorry arrived just in front of our pit, transporting a Peugeot… 106! We all burst out laughing. We took a picture with the whole team pretending to unload the car. Then I sent it to Olivier saying: “We didn’t realise you’d caused such damage » ORECA Group Technical Director, David Floury

A MUST EAT
The Raidillon de l’Eau Rouge is the most famous corner of the circuit. Built in 1939, its name is derived from l’Eau Rouge, a stream of ferruginous water that goes across the track.
