Earlier this week, in Vancouver, I attended the transforming education in BC workshop. Maureen Dockendorf (Superintendent of the Early Years) and Jan Unwin (Superintendent of Graduation and Transitions) lead teams of principals, vice-principals, and teachers through a series of activities to explore the implementation of the new curriculum framework. Yesterday afternoon, Kit and I met with about 100 members of the Vancouver Elementary Principals’ and Vice-Principals’ Association. We shared information about the good and diverse work of the BCPVPA and the value of membership in our Association. We also answered questions (often about pension and compensation issues), and learned about the challenges they face.
